If the pattern is positioned around a center hole, I use the "Centerline with Reference" command. First select one of the circles of the bolt hole pattern, then select the center hole. You should now have a center mark that consists of an angled line that points towards the center of the pattern and an radial arc that is the bolt circle arc portion.
Now you must manually drag the center axis around the bolt hole pattern. To do so without extending the angled line portion of the center mark, do the following.
Click on the center mark that was created, then press and hold the control key, while dragging one end of the center mark.
If you want the angle portion of the center mark on each hole, you must create each separately.
