How to control a Magnetorheological damper through Matlab code?

I have a Matlab code ready which will calculate the amount of current need in Magnetorheological damper. How can I convert this value in current and pass it to Magnetorheological damper? Any suggestion appreciated.

MatLab -> serial comm -> microcontroller (or Arduino) -> PWM -> amplifier -> MR damper
