New to PLC's. Is there a quick way to compare different revisions of a PLC program? I am using RSLogix.

Hi,
This is not sarcasm, but whoever did the edits SHOULD have made revision notes explaining what was changed. I would look there. It is under the "edit" pulldown.

Most later versions have a compare tool. Under the tools tab, pretty easy to use.

In RSLogix 5K as I remember it's an option when you go to install.

RS Logix 500 V5.20 has it.

As catserveng said, it's under the Toole menu, then Compare...

You simply browse your disk for the two projects, or upload a project from a connected PLC.

ScottI2R, I completely agree, but if one of the programs is pulled off the PLC, with AB all of that information is lost.

compare tool is an optional install utility, so if you dont see it on your menu. Go back to the install disks and install it from the ENU/tools directory that are on the install disks.
