Hello,

We are trying to put a bridge on the open vessel.
I am wondering how to calculate the proper weight of the bridge which doesn't badly affect the vessel. I am thinking of the calculation of the pressure which loaded in the vessel and compare the number with pressure range of the vessel material. I am wondering if there is any spreadsheet or free software for this kind of calculation.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Suggest that you post on the "Storage Tank Engineering" forum ...

Do you have dimensioned drawings/sketches etc describing what you are trying to do ?

Is the bridge 3 feet ?, 30 feet ? or 300 feet long ?

What kind of loadings will the bridge endure ?.... Is the bridge for an agitator/mixer ??
