Hi,

I have a process that I am trying to simulate using sol 701.
I would like to calculate the heat generated during the process. I have a few doubts though, a few of them are solver related, a few are license related and a few are FE related... I have very (very) little knowledge in thermal simulation, so please bear with me.

1. Can the 701 solver be coupled with thermal simulation?
2. Do I need a special licnese to couple these solvers (if possible...)
3. Can FEMAP simulate the heat generated due to plastic deformation?
4. If FEMAP cannot deal with these kind of calculations, is there some workaround to estimate the heat generated due to plastic deformation?
5. Can anyone reccomend a good textbook about this subject, FE related if possible?

Thanks for your replies.
