How to attach note to a BALLOON or VIEW 1

When I move a view, the NOTE does not move. How do I attach NOTE to a VIEW or alternatively to a BALLOON, so next time around the NOTE moves when I move THE VIEW or THE BALLON within the view.

I know that this can be done in SW2005 by RMB and grouping annotaions together. once grouped they move as one.

However if you are using an earlier version of SW you must group select the balloon and the annotation and then move them.

It is also good practice to "lock view focus" when adding specific annotations and balloons that pertain to that particular view.

I thnik the note of ballon is locked to the view being referenced when it was made. So I highlight, or'lock focus'on the view I want it associated with then create the note.

I found that lock view focus doesn't always work for me and found this work around. Whenever creating notes balloons or GD&T, I attach a leader to that view then deleted after. You'll always find that all your notes follow when moving your view.

You are right about the notes moving with the views. What we do is hide “Drawing View1” before placing notes in the upper left corner. Place the notes then unhide view. That way the drawing notes do not move with the views.

Left click outside a view, right click, lock sheet focus, add notes. I have never had a problem with it.
