hi,

I woule like to apply tolerance stack up analysis for large subsea structure on which a various modules/assemblies mounted & all modules should be 100% interchangable.

Can any one suggest me which method & how tolerance stack up analysis can be applied to this type of structural work ?.

so i can get final result in terms of Spreded excel sheet with mathematical relations (final intention) in excel cells.

i have done modules in onshore not offshore. we dont have this tolerance stack up analysis. we just oversize those base plate holes per AISC.

Mech123456,

Your diagram looks like a bunch of modules bolted to a platform. It looks to me like your primary requirement is that mounting holes line up, and that your interface structures are flat enough to not warp anything. I do not see a stack anywhere.

You need to prepare drawings with tolerances. The holes have to line up. Each module must fit within its envelope. This is a better question for forum1103. It's not really a structural question.

If you re-post, please red flag this thread.

Assigning tolerances is a meaningless excercise if you don't know your process capabilities...
