how often??? for Amada Laser F0 3015 or any Laser 1

I had a couple of questions maybe yall can help me with....
How often are you supposed to change your Nozzle Washer? the Operators will keep the same washers for a very long time I like to switch mine out more often
How long should a nozzle last if your running it non stop???
Is it Ok to use a dark burned looking Nozzle if otherwise its in good shape???

I'm not sure, we make our own out of a sheet of thin phenolic. they change them when they look ratty.

ours are teflon and they never look ratty just darker in color and you could use them forever it seems, but I think they loose their integrity after a week or so it seems like our nozzles burn up alot faster with an old one, we run three shifts 5 days a week

Washer. All that the washer is for is to keep slag out of that little gap between the insulated nozzle threads and the outer part of the cone. Not the nozzle itself, just where it threads into.

Nozzle. If you are using a "double" and the inner part is all burned out... Not so good. It will still cut but he corners of your part will not be as crisp. If you are burning out the inner nozzle your focus is off. Or your using the 5" focus lens. Either way...

I have had people tell me that the shinny chrome does not allow slag to stick. Once they get dirty material builds up on them influencing gas flow, focus, and cut quality.

what material do you prefer for that little washer? seems to me that teflon would seal better, we been using the phenolic because that is what the machine came with from the previous owner.

also, we have just had a strange issue crop up with ours WACS head. it keeps getting Z-Axis Breaks. Tried new cable and new connector on the head itself. sometimes putting pressure on the cable allows it to clear. other heads work fine, just the wacs head fails. Next week I will take it apart to see if I see something obvious. I feel like it's the head itself has lost continuity, maybe corrosion.

we only use the teflon washers they work fine and hold up a long time I guess, So about how long is a nozzle supposed to last? if focus is properly set and cutting fine whats the life i should expect out of my nozzle?? because it seems every time I do a nozzle centering or chck my nozzle i replace it. thanks every body for their input
