Hi,

I'd like to find the specification of pile load test on the above question.

How many piles of total piles to be tested
for test piles,
for proof load test working piles,
for dynamic test (PDA),
for integrity test (PIT)?

If you have any idea, please let me know.

Thank you...

sykimm,

It depends on a number of factors:

What does the building code have to say? The relevant section in the IBC is, I believe, Section 1808. You will need to check the building code in your jurisdiction.

Additionally, regulatory bodies/agencies, such as USACOE, may have requirements/stipulations of their own.

How many piles you have.

The capacity of individual piles.

Are they for uplift or compressive load or both?

What is your comfort level with the various test methods?

Additional information in ASTM D1143, D3689, D3966, D4945, D5882

Hope this helps,

Jeff
