How does the General Relinker work? - NX9 2

I have a segmented ring, each segment created using linked bodies and trimmed via linked datum planes. The links are broken. How do I relink everything? I've never done this before, so please don't assume any base knowledge on my part. I assume I would use the General Relinker. I've messed around with it, but when I hit "OK", nothing gets relinked. I'm sure I'm not doing it right, or the settings are not right.

Thanks

Hello,

Hope you have followed the below steps...(from NX Documentation)

This procedure explains how to manually relink:

1.(Optional) If you want to manually relink several links before updating your model, select the Delay Update on Manual Relink check box.

2.When the Link Browser list box shows multiple source objects, right-click the source object you want to use in the Link Browser list box, and choose Relink using current source.

3.To manually relink any source WAVE link in the list, right-click the link and choose Manually Relink.

With the WAVE Geometry Linker dialog box displayed:

a.Select a new target object.

Ensure that the select option is active.

Note
The names of the select option and group reflect the geometry type of the source object.

b.(Optional) Select or clear option check boxes in the WAVE Geometry Linker dialog box.

c.Click OK.

4.When you are ready to update your assembly, click Update Session .

Thanks,

Here is a tutorial:

The important thing is that you need to give both the source objects and target objects (the "links") a name that follows the convention in the relinker dialog.

For example, give the source body the name BODY1_OUT and the target linked body the name BODY1_IN (note that the name BODY1 is the same for both target and source).
