1503-44. I think I clearly indicated I do not think it was an insurrection. For you to say I know otherwise now questions my honesty to some degree. My conclusion is that is was not a real insurrection.
You don't mind rants as long as you agree with them. You participated in the insults. I can go elsewhere, that is what you need. Your kind always need opposition to your ideas to leave or be silenced.

They're not exactly missing out. Isn't it the Trump supporters that are assaulting Blacks. Heck, they're assaulting Whites too. In fact all of us. (6 Jan.)
What goes round, comes round, especially after 4 5yrs of such crappy retoric. Doesn't take a genius to see that it all that leads up to exactly what happened this and last year. Its the old Brown Shirt strategy dressed up in red, white and blue.

Tugboat, I didn't trah Trump supporters. I asked a question
You play with words a lot. Okay, I said I would never say something nasty about someone just because they voted for Biden, and using you analogy of "asking a question". Isn't it Biden voters who are really dumb? I am not saying anything bad, I am just asking a question. Seems obvious I am trashing them when I do it. Well, in the spirit of going to Pat's Pub, I am going to respond to you only in this rant. You can respond however you like. I will read your responses and then just acknowledge I read them. I will not retaliate. You will win. I sense you must have that happen.
Topics like CC, Covid etc require multiple people interacting to resolve the issue. None of us need a group to determine what we watch on TV or what we choose eat. We can easily do that on our own. We need no real talents whatsoever to take care of ourselves. For some reason, most of us have what it takes to figure out what we need to do for ourselves. Now when it comes to interacting with others and determining what others need to do, I think there are 4 basic pieces we need, education, intelligence, common sense and compassion/empathy.
Some equate education with intelligence, I do not.
Both intelligence and common sense are learned by being open-minded to what you see and hear. you hone these skills your entire life.
I think compassion/empathy is the hardest to acquire. I have no idea why. I know if you go through life seeing one thing only, it is normal to your regardless of what it is and you may not know how lucky/unlucky you are. Compassion takes some direct diversity in your life I guess. I never heard of a 1800s cowboy complaining about not having a TV to watch.
Education is the only one that gives you a "proof of purchase". Some like to think that proof of education is proof of intelligence and common sense. That is you. If someone disagrees with you, they are not intelligent and have no common sense, you think. Anyone who makes a good argument that you cannot snuff out other than just restating what you think or doing one of your word dances, you want gone. You for all purposes, are Al Gore. Smartest guy in the room if you let him determine who gets to stay in the room. George Bush II did not think he was the smartest in the room, he was just happy his daddy got him into the room.

You are correct, it does not take a genius, it takes a close-minded person.
For everyone honestly trying to resolve CC one way or the other, I will give you some advice from an idiot who voted for Trump that is not as smart as 1503-44.
--Making enemies for no good reason (such as bashing Trump supporters) makes solving CC A LOT HARDER. That creates a lot of people that do not wish to work with you on the topic.
--When someone that agrees with your viewpoint gets out of hand, lies, BSs or whatever hurts your cause, don't defend them, correct them. Trust me, the other side will notice and make a bigger deal of it than it may be.
--Don't take crap about who you voted for or what you believe, but expect to take crap for supporting their individual actions or your own actions. If you agree with their actions for any particular issue, you are fair game for criticism but not insult.
--People judge your ability to gather information, sort it, process it and arrive at conclusions based on what they see you doing in here for example. The election, who voted how, what is all means is far easier to analyze and judge than climate change. Do you think you have done a good job this simple issue in your life? Why should anyone trust your ability on a much harder and more expensive topic?
--Know when something is a Fact, Conclusion or Opinion. Seriously lacking in the CC world.
Respond away 1503-44. I promise I will read and acknowledge I read. Those of you who agree with 1503-44 that think any opposition should go elsewhere just post "Go to Pat's". It you want to post more, go ahead, I making no promises other than the one to 1503-44. Just remember, the hall monitor wants this type of stuff done elsewhere and may want you gone too.
In the end, I will still read at times.
