Hello

i made a measurement on a spindle machine with keys to fixe gears on the shaft spindle.
and i have a 155Hz peak with 2 side bands of 38,8Hz

the turning speed is also 38,8Hz.

Dou you think it could be key wear ?

Only if there are four keys.

Look for something square.

i will check for something square or 4 keys

thank you very much

I think it could be key wear.

It sounds like you have harmonics of 3x, 4x, 5x of running speed.

Impacting at 1x such as from looseness can generate a series of harmonics peaking near resonance of the component being impacted.
