How could I go about calculating the geometry of this shape?

The geometry looks like this, complicated but fortunately its symmetric about all the axes:

The geometric parameters used in the model, everything is defined by the first three variables a,b,t:

Not even sure how to start on finding the volume which would be given by the parameters a, b and t.

Sum the volumes of all the pieces.
12 flat squares shapes
6 four-sided box shapes
6 triangle shapes

The bottoms of each box has 4 triangular shapes, from what I can tell.

I'm guessing t is the thickness of the plates, but your drawing seems to show different thickness for the box sides vs. the fins attached thereto.

The box sides and fins appear to have different dimension, roughly about 7% different

Overall approach, divide into prisms, cubes, pyramids, etc., and calculate the volume of each one. Sometimes it's easier to calculate volume for one solid, then calculate a negative volume for what is cut off of it.
Single example: If you generate it in cad programs, you should be able to extract volume, surface area, etc. form the program.

is this high school homework ?

if you can CAD it (looks like it) then CAD should be able to tell you the volume.

maybe 3D print it, and put in a bath (to measure the displaced water) ?

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

Honestly, can any of you actually read the OP's embedded output? It is indecipherable on my 15" laptop monitor...

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

My general response didn't require reading the details, but by zooming in to 300%-400% in Windows, it is legible.
