How can i view a rslogix5000 v17 in a pc that runs v16

No you must have a newer version of the software. Not only that but the PLC firmware must match the version of the software it was created in. Eg. v17.xx program must match v17.xx PLC firware. If you were to find someone with a newer version of the the software (17 and newer) they would be able to export it to a v16 for you to view. You would then however have to change the PLC firmware to V16 to download or make your changes and have someone convert it back to V17. It is best to install all packages if possible. I have 10 through 18 installed
