Hello,

I am trying to perform Buckle analysis with Bloch boundary conditions. It gives me an error saying a Nonzero boundary condition is not specified. But I did define a non zero boundary condition at the virtual node. I have already used Bloch boundary conditions with frequency analysis and it gives me perfect results. I think there is some issue in the boundary conditions which I am not able to figure out.

Please let me know if somebody has done this analysis.

Thanks and Regards,
Nidhish

How exactly do you apply these boundary conditions ? I assume that you define them on the reference point. But how is this point connected to the rest of the structure ?

You have to use MPC subroutine to apply these boundary conditions. My MPC subroutine works because I have done Frequency analysis and the results match. But somehow when I do buckle analysis it says a nonzero load should be applied, which I did.

In frequency analyses only boundary conditions are needed. But eigenvalue buckling simulations require the definition of load in addition to BCs.

Yes, I understand that and I provided a nonzero load.

Which solver do you use for the eigenvalue buckling analysis ? Lanczos solver has significant limitations - it can't be used with some types of constraints.

I am using subspace.
