how can i link images relatively in autocad? I'm linking a lot of images at home and when i burn the folder on a cd. i have to manually re-adress all image files again on another system. is there anything that can be done to ease this annoying thing?

When you insert the image, don't check the "Retain Path" box. Does that help?

Don't use the image command, just copy & paste your images into the drawings.

May not be ideal, but would certainly solve your problem.

Copy and paste will not work because the images still have to be in the ACAD support path or you will only get a box-frame of the image and the image path.

Save all of the images in one folder...that way, if Autocad can't find the associated directory tree, it will look in the folder where the drawing is located.

I hope that makes sense....
