Hello, I am making a model of an airplane fuselage, composed of fuselage, frames and spars. I have made “mooring” joints between the different parts of the fuselage, and between frames and spars, with the fuselage. The frames and stringers do not interact with each other.
In addition, I have linked the displacements of the extremes to two reference points, using an “equation” with different sets, so that obtaining results is easier. However, when I simulate it, I get the error “96 nodes are missing degrees of freedom. MPC/equation/kinematic coupling constraints cannot be formed. The nodes have been identified in the node set ErrNodeMissingDofConstrDef” and I don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix it?
The model is "model-equation".

I can’t open the file now but it seems that you have an overconstraint. Did you apply other constraints (including more MPCs) or BCs to the same DOFs at these nodes ?

Hello, first of all, thank you for your response. How can I make it see the file?
The boundary conditions that I have applied are: an embedment in the ref. point 1, associated with the base of the cylinder with equation, and a point charge at ref.point 2 associated with the "lid" of the cylinder with equation. I think the problem is because I have made a "tie" between the fuselage (cylinder) and the spars.

I just don’t have access to Abaqus now, the file seems to be uploaded correctly. Can you share the .inp file too though ? I would take a look at it.

There’s clearly an overconstraint. If equation constraints are applied, there should be no other constraints acting on the same DOFs of the same nodes.

Since each of those equations only constrains the motion of the selected nodes on the edge with the motion of the reference point, it shouldn’t be a problem to replace them either with rigid body constraints or with coupling constraints. That would be the typical approach for such cases.
