I'm surprised we don't see this more often. I've watched that show Massive Moves a lot, the guys doing the moving are just a bunch of cowboys typically.

One way to haul bicycles on a car is a roof rack. One of the hazards of doing so is people driving into their garages and destroying said bicycles. The problem there is not an issue of not knowing how high the garage or the bicycle is, but just tootling along without thinking about it period. That's probably what gets a lot of the trucks, too.
