Hose Valves on Roof - Class I Standpipe System

Hello all,

Does anyone know why Figure A.7.3.2(d) in Annex A of NFPA 14 2007 shows two hose valves? Paragraph 7.3.2 doesn't require two valves.

Later editions only show one hose valve but here in PA we follow the 2007 edition.

Maybe for testing the most remote standpipe??? Other standpipes would just have one?
