Code states that Horn/Strobes in hallways cannot be more than 100 feet apart yet the cd ratings normally only go 25 feet out each side or 50 feet forward. If you mounted them facing each other it would be 100 feet but in a hallway is it true they need to be 15 feet from the end of the corridor? From the placement according to the cd it seems to contradict the NFPA 72-59 (2002) 7.5.4.2.5 To desgin a system correctly the norm is about 50 feet apart depending on the room configuation or hallway configuation. The cd rating also will affect this but even a 110 cd light distribution would not be effective with these calculations.

After reviewing NFPA 72 (2002) on page 59 7.5.4.2.5 I see that you can be up to 100 feet apart in corridors and that the cd requirments for rooms are different.
