Horizontal Tank Volume

Hi, All

I have to calculate the volume in a horizontal tank with torospherical heads based on a LG scale. I am going to prepare a spreadsheet for many vessel geometries.
Does someone have a formulae or spreadsheet for it already done?

The volume for the horizontal cylinder is:

vol= LR^2(A-sinAcosA)
where A=cos-1((1-h/R))
This is for flat ends. For a tropospherical end the volume within the end is:
tropospherical end volume = 0.215h^2(3R-h) (From Perry's)

P.S. When coding your own stuff, you may discover the lame fact that MS did not bother to provide Excel with even the trig fuctionality of a professional calculator. Instead you have to search for advice in their database such as: ARCSEC(Y) = ATN(Y/SQR(1-Y*Y))+(SGN(Y)-1)*Pi/2, which is not very convenient at the formula writing level because it is not defined for all values of Y, and so you must include conditionals.
