Hello,

I already have spreadsheets for calculating the partial volumes of horizontal tanks with various heads(flat, ellipsoidal, torispherical, etc) but I am interested if anyone has information for calculating the partial volumed of inclined horizontal tanks. I believe there may have been a technical article in the Oil and Gas Journal on this topic several years ago. Can anyone advise?

Thanks Morten,

I wasn't aware of the original thread you mentioned but I have most of the data that is mentioned throughout those threads.

I am particularly interested in INCLINED tanks. I am now chasing up a copy of a technical article titled "Simple Program Calculates Partial Liquid Volumes of Vessels" by Pierre Koch Consultant Brussels from a back issue of the 'Oil and Gas Journal'. I believe it has some formulae/calculations for volumes of inclined vessels.

Best Regards
