Hopper Foot Pad Connection to Beam

Hello,

I work at a wastewater equipment design and manufacturing company. One of our products is storage hopper that is typically placed on structural steel framing beneath.

The foot is bolted through the beam flange. Would the loading be considered 4x point loads?

Where could I find the connection design in AISC 360? Would this be section J10? Does anyone have any suggestions on design examples of this type of connection? We do include seismic loading in the x and z directions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not unless there were separators (washers) at each bolt between base plate and beam flange. If the load is purely axial, pressure would be considered uniformly distributed, unless the plates are thin, in which case pressure would be higher over the beam web. If there is a moment in addition to axial, pressure would be trapezoidal unless the moment was really big, in which case there could be tension on some bolts.
