All,
We have had some complaints from our vendors, that the tap drill depths in SW are not deep enough on blind holes. Would anyone know what file controls this action? I know in the HW window, I can manually change it, but we have been asked if as a whole we can make these depths 2X the thread dia past the tap depth.

Thank You
Brad

I am well versed in the creation of "Custom Holewizard" profiles, but no where have I seen in there the information for tap drill depths. Thats what I am really after. How SW calculates them and if there is a way we change change that.

Tap drill depths are controlled by a hard coded into SW using the data of "Blind (2*Dia)". That cannot be changed since its hard coded into SW. You will have to adjust it manually each time... As far as I can tell.

I have had people ask this before and I have never found away of controlling this yet, but that's because its hard coded into the software I believe.

I've had the same issues. What I did was create a set of "favorites" to use in the hole wizard a needed. You only have to create them once.
