Hi,
Im trying to draw the basket from a pipework strainer, it comprises of a cylinder completely perforated with small holes.

I've tried using the pattern command around a tangential plane, but it doesnt work.

I've also tried sketching the pattern then using the wrap sketch command, but again this doesnt work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Neil

For info, I’m a student currently studying Mechanical Engineering, so please excuse my inexperience if this is a simple question.

If you do this in sheet metal you can unbend it, cut the holes in the flat state then re-bend.

Here is a sample in ST4. Basically place a hole, rectangular pattern down length, then radial pattern the previous pattern around the perimeter.
