I have inherated a project from a coleague, and the model that I have to work with is quite bothersome to look at. All holes, arcs, etc., show up as polygons or angles. This is very destracting, esp when dealing with parts that contain both fillets and chamfers....Does anyone have an idea?

Dear Cadaddy:

Have you tried "Assist", "Options", "Display", and under display resolution set "Arc and Circle smoothness" to 2000 ?

Regards Adrian

I had this problem for a long time. Go to the drop down menus and choose VIEW -> SHADE -> 2D WIREFRAME. You will notice that the UCS Icon changes represention to the more traditional 2D style. Type "regen" and your holes and arc should become nice and smooth.

hi
use "viewres" command
"yes"
input a numbbe
bigger for smoother

Cadaddy,
The easiest fix is to set invoke the viewres command...answer yes to fastzooms then set the # to 20,000. This is an old trick for when we caddies had to use 386 computers and they were slow (lower # = faster regens). You can also set the isolines to 16 or higher (if using 3d) but be careful performance will slow down if you go to high!
