HMS Gridded Precip Model 1

Has anyone here used HEC-HMS to build a gridded precip model that incorporates snow melt? I am attempting to build such a model and keep getting hung up on the following error:

ERROR 21550: Melt rate is undefined at time 1 January 2000, 02:00:00.

I have tried to reconfigure my meltrate dss file a bunch of different ways but always get this error. Any ideas or insight is greatly appreciated!
