A structural engineer diving into the depths of plumbing! A very unique event (how about that, HgTX!)

Thanks SlideRuleEra
Next time someone tell me I don't "know _ _ _ _". I can set em straight.
That whole area of engineering has saved more lives than any other field.
In Manchesters book "American Ceaser" he relates how after WW2 MacAuther made the Japanese do away with open sewers in the streets of many towns and villages. He says that in the 4 or 5 years after tha war it saved as many lives as were lost in the war.

Great plumbing wisdom:
<
"An excellent plumber is infinitely more admirable than an incompetent philosopher. The society that scorns excellence in plumbing just because plumbing is a humble activity, and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity, will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy. Neither its pipes nor its philosophy will hold water."
- John William Gardner

Kewl....thanks SlideRule...

Many years ago, I worked with an expert on sewage collection systems and treatment plants. He would say: To most people its s---, but to me its my bread and butter!
