Hi,
I am looking for info regarding regular service routes with high grades (>3.5%) in adhesion type railways, and brake types & solutions associated with them.

i.e. this link in wikipedia
Link

I see several regular service lines in switzerland, the Docklands Lightrail in London and a HSL in Germany (Cologne-Frankfurt, uses ICE3 trains according the wiki).

I am looking for info regarding brake system solutions applied in these cases, i.e.
- use of electromagnet shoe brakes,
- redundant brake discs to prevent overheating etc.
- special pad or disc materials
- measures to prevent runaways and brake faults

Any info is welcomed
Regards
