I'm looking for a high viscosity clear fluid. By high I mean about the same consistency as radiator fluid for a car, maybe a little thicker like maple syrup.
What is this for? I have a 'snow globe' that has bits of gold in it that I picked up in Alaska as a souvenir about 10 years ago. The fluid that is in it got very cloudy (and corroded (oxidized) some of the 'gold' finish - suspicious, eh? Fools gold, or a major chemical breakthrough!). With the high viscosity the bits settle very slowly after a shake.
