Thought this might be the best forum to ask for leads... I am looking for Pressure Relief or Safety Valve options for a vessel operating at 450 PSI and 750C, with pressurized syngas. The pressure does not seem to be a problem but the temperature is. Any thoughts on where I could start a search or options for this application would be appreciated.

Consolidated Valve and Crosby Valve would be a good starting point.

Are you sure you want a re-seating valve where the valve itself is operating at 750 C?

450 C should be no problem.

Re: re-seating valve - Not necessarily, I am only interested in what the options would be for an application like this. Could be a rupture disk or similar if that's all that would work.

Is there a way to configure the process so that the pressure relief valve is located on the low temp inlet compressed air instead of the hot outlet? If neccesary, the valve could be a pilot actuated valve based on sensed pressure at the hot outlet , but the location of the valve would be at the cold inlet, or at some intermediate point at a lower temp.

Thanks for the ideas and leads everyone.

Davefitz - possibly, I will look into this option.
