Does anyone have any experience with high temperature o'rings, or if there is such a thing? Looking at a ring that can withstand the API fire testing for a high pressure valve. Any suggestions?

I am looking at 15k pressure rating. Also, I am pretty sure viton only reaches 400f. The fire test will see over 1100F.

Are they static?

Look at metal o-rings (SS and high temp alloy steel tubing. They can handle the temperature to 1,800F).

Try and search. There are several I know of. You can also design your own metal-to-metal seal.

Try Garlock HelicoFlex.

utkk: they will not survive such high temperatures.
