Good morning,

I would like to know if the refractory cement or high-temperature cement, when used to repair cracks at the boiler or furnace refractory, should be mixed with sand or just we make the mortar by adding only water to the cement.

Additionally, is there any recommended steps, from your experiences, in repairing such cracks?

Thanks

hello
suppliers of refractory material will be able to answer your question. I guess there is no addition of sand and that commercial products can be mixed "as they are" with water, but you still have to follow the instructions from the supplier.

resco, pilbrico, calderys, dramicom, ...
