Interesting, very interesting.
Grove-Italia has an outlet in the United States and Canada under Dresser Flow Control. They have marketed and continue to manufacture in the continental United States and Canada, predominently Western Canada, for the oilfield and pipeline transportation industry. The Grove Ball Valve is a trunnion mounted, full bore type, floating seat (hydraulic activated) and come with full NACE compliance. ANSI Class ratings are typically up to and including 900, I have designed others to 1500 under NPS 6 line size, but temperature limitation is 125F or so because of soft seat technology. It is possible to go to 200F, but usage of high priced elastomers greatly detracts from cost effectiveness.
What you have specified, steam (high temperature service) with bubble tight capacity can only be achieved with a truly floating, metal-to-metal, positive seat shut-off thus implying high torque and elevated cracking pressures. Typically this is gas plant application(s) so you will be competing with Orbit, Cooper-Cameron, General Twin, etc. I do wish you the best of luck with your marketing!
I'm not a huge fan of Cesare-Bonetti, others such as Nuovo Peroni have come into the market and not survived. It will be interesting to see how your price marketing the Euro against the American dollar, particularly in view of the fact that European labor costs are much more expensive than those typically experienced in North America.
Hence the need to keep Mexico and South East Asia in the metallurgical, manufacturing game, Free Trade as so to speak. Everyone is into offshore manufacturing, but your transportation to market costs should proove significantly higher in comparison to the competition.
