Hiding Reference Lines

Is it possible to only hide reference lines from a sketch?

I have created many "reference lines" in my sketch by selecting the Change To/From option for the respective lines. I know that I can select Hide (Ctrl-B) to hide it in the sketch; however, when I "Finish Sketch", those line all reappear in the "Modeling" mode.

My part contains several different sketches, and the reference lines are becoming cumbersome. I don't necessarily want to hide the entire sketch. I have heard about layers, but it sounds like those are outdated for the most part and unnecessary. When in modeling mode, is it possible to hide individual features of a sketch or do you have to hide/show entire thing?

Thanks

You can place them (in the modeling) on a new layer and then make this layer invisible.
Or, maybe easier, create a group:
1. when in sketch, select all reference lines.
2. click on Format menu and select Group->New Group.
3. when you will be in Modelling, you can turn off Timestamp Order in PArt Navigator, and you will find your group. You can hide the whole group there. This is NX7. In NX8.5, you don't have to turn off the Timestamp Order.

You could add all the Reference Curves to a Sketch Group which would make it easier to Hide and Show them as you only need to select the Group to Hide/Show it.

I really hate the "hide" thing, because it is very easy to "show all"" without exactly knowing what "all" is.

For me, I only utilize "hide" for a temporary function, and when the part is saved everything needs to be shown.

Yes, I know I am old-school as far as this goes, but there are other (and better ways) to hide something.
