I can suppress/unsuppress any feature "for this configuration only", but is it possible to hide/show a surface "for this configuration only" too?

There is not Hide/SHow for this config only, but you can select surface (I am talking about surfaces only, not surfaces of a body) then seelct hide/show per config.

I would normally suggest a Design table here, but I don't know if there is a parameter for such a thing.

Scott,
Do you mean that there are different type of surface in SW: surface body & simple surface?
I also can't find how Design Table can hide/show surface.

rfus,
Is it possible to create Display States in the part?
I can't show/hide using Display Plane in the part in SW2006.

No you can't have display states in a part only assembly

Surface body is different then a body surface... a body surface is part of a body... a surface is just a surface.

I was telling that I don't see away to use a DT to hide/show a body, but you can manually activate a Config and select hide/show as needed per config.

sorry, thought it was for an assem.

Can you use a delete body on this surface at the bottom of your feature tree in one config? This will give you the ability to toggle between configs and have this surface appear and disapear

If it was one surface on a solid body you wanted to hide/show between configs you could use delete face as supressed.unsupressed between configs.

to Scott,
"manually activate a Config and select hide/show as needed per config" doesn't work for surface bodies.

to rfus,
Another parts in the assy depend on this surfaced part, so "delete body as suppress" not a good choice.

Anyway thanks...

Copy the surface, hide the original, and then suppress/resume the copy.
