Hi
This query is related to Weldolet Thickness calculation as per MSS SP 97.
Our Branch pipe is 2" A106 Gr B S160 and Run pipe is 6" Sch 80 including 6 mm Corrosion allowance. So, Manufacturer will give suitable 2" Sch 160 x Sch 80 Weldolet. Does correspondence pipe thickness is enough to decide Weldolet thickness or Reinforcement Shape as per calculation? what about Corrosion allowance of Weldolet?

Regards,

Amar

Yes that's all you need to specify

Weldolet is thicker than the pipe and assumes any corrosion rate of the pipe is the same for the weldolet.

6mm CA on a 10.7mm wall thickness (sch80) pipe sounds like a lot to me...
