You can apply initial stress in Abaqus but for that you need odb file (Abaqus output database) where the stress field is available. So you would have to fill the database with stress values first and this could potentially be done with scripting but would require significant effort. It's much easier to import temperature field for example (thanks to analytical mapped fields).
