Hi, did anyone here ever try to project a maximum 2D shape out from a 3D model? What I am trying to do here is to project the blade's curves onto a plane since the cross section of a blade on the airplane engine part is different from one degree to another. When I tried to get a cross section, I can only get part of the blade onto 2D. As I mentioned earlier, the cross section of the blade is different from one degree to another. When I tried to project all curves from the 3D model, the blade would only give me the curves of top and bottom but no curve lines from both sides! Is there any way that you can project the blade part by revolving along the center line and get the maximized curves on a plane? Thank you very much for your help.

Have you tried...

File -> Export -> 2D Exchange...

what curves, in what direction ?
A little picture or illustration would help.

I think, what you need is the extract silhouette curves under curves from bodies.
