Good day every one,

This is Mohammed AL Shehhi - integrity engineer in oil and gas company.

I have query about the best software for evaluating/ rerating heat exchangers; for example, I have tube bundle with plugged about 20% of the tubes, I need a software, if available to evaluate the effect plugging will have on performance prior to this repair.

Do you have any modeling software?
You need to inlet/outlet temps for both streams, and flow rates for both sides.
The times that I have seen this done it greatly depended on the accuracy of the model of the original HX.

Best? I don't know. HTRI software is widely used. Might be a better question for the Heat Transfer forum...

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
