Electromagnets are used medically in a system called rtms where a powerful electromagnet is pulsed over someones body to increase blood flow to a region of the body.
I guess my question is for a magnet to be pulsed say once every 10 seconds, it has be 'primed' ie there is still an electrical current going through it but the actual magnetic field isnt turned on.So where is most of the energy consumption going , would less hertz save dramatic amounts of power im wondering ?
I apologise if any of these questions seem dumb i know nothing about this subject.
