HELP!! Surface count using 2000i?

I have been translating files from Proe-2000i and basically I need to know how to get a surface (face) count before the translation. I use this knowledge as part of a verification/testing method of the translators. In most Cad software it is fairly simple, but it seems that Pro-e's picking mechanism picks up ALL entities. I would like to pick only surfaces to see how many are in the part before I go through a translation.
