I am trying to design a 6 lane pot dispensor , without going into too much detail it comprises of a 1000 x 300 x 30mm alu plate which has 6 holes in it to alow pots to go thru . Above plate are 6 magazines which the empty pots are loaded into and below plate will be the mechanism for dispensing them . There would be a ram each end which would shuttle and dispense 3 pots each , so both rams work at same time dispensing 6 pots .
Sorry that ended up being a mouthful !!

I have seen a system which seems to work well which is 2 guides with cutouts in , and as the ram is home the pots rest on top of the guides then when ram is out the pots drop down about 3mm then when ram goes back home the guide lip seperates the above pot from the one below and once the guide is home the pot drops thru cutout in guide .

This would work great but i can see a problem in as much as the pots will stick together so i need a solution to just nudge the lower pot so if stuck it will drop

Hope my long waffles
make sense
please help if you can
cheers
chris

Uh, "just nudge" doesn't work in automation.

You can't rely on gravity either.

You need to jam a pickle fork between the cups to either separate or break them.
