Description: Male snap end like found on boat covers. Secured w/ a phillips head machine screw into a threaded and tapered sleeve that is pressed into a pre-drilled hole. The male end snaps are about 1/4" OD.

I'm missing several on a custom car cover and would like to just replace all the snaps and replace the whole fastener on the missing ones. Other than the obvious places such as a local hardware store and marinas, any other ideas where I might find such a specialty fastener?

Thanks.

I've found them at the local fabric store, in Tandy Leather Shops, Canvas shops.
Might try truck accessory stores where they would be used for tonneau covers.

Call up your nearest awning/boat cover manufacturer. I'm sure they will be willing to sell you any kind of snap they have in stock.

thanks...I don't think finding the snaps is going to be the problem, finding hte matching threaded insert might be...

WW,
Sorry about jumping to the obvious.
Sounds like you could use something like a Rivnut from AVK or Bollhoff that is placed in a hole and drawn up to clinch itself into the metal. See <
