alrighty, I figure this is as good a place to find help for this as any, so here'goes - it'd be easier to figure out exactly what I'm talking about by going here:
but failing that I'll say again:
after reading the problem with the IDE ribbon on the xbox I had a bit of an idea - would it be possible to, after the dvd slot on the IDE, to put it a sort of switch board type thing? sort of like how the xtender itself works, only with IDE ribbons instead? So you have a short IDE running from the xbox to the dvd to the switch board, then on the switch board you have 3 IDE slots, there would have to be a connection directly to the X-Tender so that when you push the HDD1 button the switch board closes channels to the other two slots, and leaves IDE slot 1 open. That would completely eliminate any interferance from the other drives, you would just have 3 ribbons instead of 1.
Now I've been shown products that do this before, but a) the only remotely usable one is friggin expensive as hell, and the other needs a PCI slot (which M$ dosn't supply with xbox ^_^)
Thank you for your help!
