What is the basic difference in deign as compared to end bearing friction piles etc. Any body has any cheat sheet?

Helical piles are proprietary; therefore, the capacity varies by manufacturer.

you can order a free copy of their software. it's called HeliCap. you vary shaft size/type/diameter, helix size/spacing, pier embedment, soil properties.

i found it to be very good software.

Not related to design but when we used helical piles we had difficulty cropping as the cropper tends to align itself with the spiral flanges and then wrench off the tops of the piles (not a clean cut) damaging the rebar.
