Helical gear tooth force according to axis torque 1

I'm not a gear specialist. Just entering the field. I'm tasked to design an helical gear driven by a motor. This very skewed helical gear is driving an ordinary spur gear in a way that resemble to a worm gear. I don't find on internet the relation between rotation axis torque and tooth forces. Since an helical gear is skewed, it is difficult to relate one of the usual forces with the torque. The usual forces are tangential force Ft, axial force Fa and radial force Fr. Is there a equation for that? Maybe I see things more complicated than they are...[ponder]

Buckingham addresses this gear train. His book goes in great detail.
Question : what is the reason for using this type of non typical gear set. Why not use cross axis. Or worms gear with worm.
 
I can't talk about the reasons... Thank you for the suggestion for "Buckingham". I'll dive into it.
