Heavy Oil Pipe Sizing

Are any rules of thimb for sizing pipework for heavy oil applications.

I know that in general liquid flows pipes are usually sized to keep the flow velocity between 2 and 4 m/s. Does this still hold for high viscosity fluids (up to 8000 cP!)

Well yes, there is a table of pipeline velocities that i last accessed today but which AOL is now denying exists!
