Hello all,
First, I want to specify that I am a mech.eng. student doing an industrial internship for a company that makes springs for the fall. This is my first working experience as an engineer.
Variation
During the process the product goes through a conveyor oven to reduces residual stresses. As you all know, a product is never perfect and one of my assigned project is to identify the influence of heating on the variation of the product.
The goal here is to find if the oven is stable and if there are other factors such as ventilation, open doors, [etc...] that could be affecting the thermal stability and efficiency of the oven.
I am here to find if anyone has past experiences or would know a proper experimental protocol for this.
Thank you
(In terms of the design of the oven, the conveyor is approximately 2-3 meters long and 0.3m wide. There is only one piece that enters at any time, therefore there is no time inside the oven where pieces come in contact, but they do fall on top of each other in baskets. They cool at air temperature. (between 25-30 degrees Celcius))
