Heat transfer gap elements

I am modelling the transient heat transfer between glass and mould. Between the glass and mould is an air gap of 0.2mm which affects the heat transfer.

I am modelling in 2d using plane 55 elements for the glass and mould. My questions are:

i) WOuld a CONTACT 151 element be suitable for this.?
ii)How do you mesh these gaps? I have tried meshing but with no success.
